The Product Operations Manifesto: Why, How, and What
In April this year, twelve leaders in Product Operations from all over the world came together to co-create the Product Operations Manifesto. As the instigator of this project, I want to share our story with you.
Even though there’s much buzz around the discipline, Product Operations is still an emerging field and many practitioners are struggling with the same challenges: How do we explain our value to organisations increasingly preoccupied with the bottom line? How do we define our boundaries with other teams and departments? What needs to be true in order for us to be successful? And most of all: At its core, how do we define Product Operations exactly?
The Product Operations Manifesto was born out of a desire to move conversations towards more meaningful topics around the value, cost, and intricacies of the discipline. In this talk, not only will we address the questions posed here, but we’ll also deep dive into the manifesto itself and highlight some of the principles, commitments, and prerequisites we defined.
Join this talk to get a behind-the-scenes view of how this manifesto was created, learn the motivations behind the project, and get an intimate insight into some of the most challenging aspects of Product Operations today.

Doing the right Product Ops vs Doing Product Ops right
In ‘Doing the right Product Ops vs Doing Product Ops right', Sarah Reeves will talk about lessons learnt from her experience of building and then scaling Product Operations in a large, global and complex organisation.
She will share her teams perspective on their journey from idealistic theory to realistic practice through finding a balance between addressing individual product manager pain points vs organisational context, and how the team recently adapted their approach in the face of large scale organisational change.

Everything Everywhere All at Once
All product organisations face operational challenges that must be overcome to deliver value to customers and drive business success. The pressure of covering multiple challenges across the entire organisation, often simultaneously, will be felt by any nascent Product Ops function.
Entering this complex and potentially chaotic 'multiverse' can be overwhelming. This talk will equip you with the essential 'verse-jumping' principles that encourage the right mindset shift and enable effective cross-functional collaboration leading to broad operational excellence.
