Frequently Asked Questions

TICKETING

Which events can I join with my ticket?

Tickets for the conference, workshops and leadership event are completely separate. Conference tickets do NOT give you access to workshops or leadership event or vice versa.

Can I change the invoice details?

Yes, if you wish to add or change the invoice details (company address, PO number etc.) you can do so by clicking on the “view invoice” link in the order confirmation email. Editing the invoice is possible for 30 days after purchase.

Why does German VAT apply even if I’m based elsewhere?

VAT for in-person events differs to VAT for goods and services, where a reversal is possible. Instead, VAT for in-person events is charged based on the event location, and irrespective of the attendee's location or status.
This means all attendees have to be charged VAT at the same (German) rate.

Do you offer discounts for students, startups, non-profits, etc?

The only discounts we offer is a 10% group discount if you purchase 10 or more tickets for the conference. The ticket limit for purchasing online is 25 tickets. If you require more than 25 tickets please get in touch.

There are no group discounts for workshops or our leadership event.

Can I reassign a ticket to another person?

Yes, this can be done either by the person who purchased the ticket or the person to whom the ticket was initially assigned. Please refer to the ticket confirmation email and click “edit details”. This will take you to a dialogue where you can assign the ticket to another person.

Can I get a refund if I can’t attend?

No, per our Terms & conditions (and common practice for conferences, concerts etc.) we will not refund your ticket if you can’t attend. Please consider reassigning your ticket to a colleague or another friendly product person. Or, in case the event is booked out feel free to reach out so that we can see if we can arrange for a late-comer to purchase your ticket.

Do you offer tickets for online participation?

No, to us the many real-life interactions among attendees, between attendees and speakers, attendees and sponsors etc. are an essential part of the Product at Heart experience. If you can’t travel to Hamburg we are happy for you to have a look at the recordings of our talks who will be shared after the event.

Can you send me a printed invoice via mail?

No, please order the tickets via our webshop and select to pay by invoice. This allows you to download the invoice.

The ticketshop won’t show the ticket category I was hoping to buy…what can I do?

If the ticket shop doesn’t show the tickets then this particular event or ticket type is booked out.

NETWORKING

Can I network at the event?

Yes, you can! In fact we know that for many of our attendees, networking in one major reason to join our events and we will do our best to support this.
In addition to the general networking opportunities that arise when spending the day and the breaks with a group of likeminded, curious people we will also offer special format such as (optional) Blind Date Dinners the evening before the conference. Please stay tuned for more information!

At the same time, please also respect that not every attendee may share your excitement about networking!

We don’t share any attendee info before or after the event. We respect our attendee’s privacy and are compelled by GDPR laws to respect this.

CONTENT

Who is speaking at the conference?

As with our previous event MTP Engage we will have a mixture of world-renowned and regional speakers at Product at Heart. All presentations will be in English. Please check our Speakers page for our growing list of speakers.

Will the talks and workshops be in English?

Yes, all content will be in English.

I am interested in speaking

Our curation for our 2024 event is complete.

Can I apply as a speaker for future events?

We have a long-list of potential speakers that serves as a starting point when we curate our event. In addition we will define specific topics that we want to highlight and will actively seek for suitable speakers. Typically most of our program is curated this way, but we are always curious to learn about new voices in product, in particular from Europe.
If you are interested in speaking please reach out and ideally give us a clear impression of who you are and what you would like to talk about. Reference to videos from previous talks help us get a feeling for your presence.
We do not accept submissions from professional speaker-agents or companies wanting to place speakers! We care about the speaker as an individual who wants to be part of our event and who’s nice to have around for our side activities such as our speakers’ dinner.

Please note that we cannot promise to give feedback to all submissions, but be assured that we are curious people, so we will certainly review and consider your submission.

Are there sponsored talks?

Our curation and sponsorship are strictly separate matters. There are no paid talks at our events. If we happen to have speakers who work at one of our sponsors it will only be because we want this speaker, not because they represent an organization.

Will slides be shared?

We leave it up to our speakers if and how they wish to share slides or other materials after the event. We’ll do our best to spread the word as soon as we become aware. If you are interested in a particular presentation please feel free to approach the speaker during the event - most of them are happy to talk, in particular after they are done with their presentation.

Will talks be recorded?

We will record all talks (conference and leadership event) and make them available to our attendees after the event. Workshops will not be recorded.
